You’ll report directly to the Transaction Monitoring (TM) Product Owner and will work alongside colleagues and teams across the Financial Crime Centre of Excellence (FC CoE) teams and Santander UK.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining TM model management, scenario testing and calibration while liaising with BAU TM Oversight team.

The difference you will make.

  • Managing and maintaining strategic TM Model Manual(s) while defining model requirements for tactical and strategic projects in relation to Transaction Monitoring
  • Updating the model documentation and managing the approval process
  • Leading the execution of model updates (depending on the model risks/gaps identified by the business) and model maintenance, including production of evidence that updates are operating correctly
  • Managing and maintaining TM Calibration methodology and identifying changes required for the TM scenario calibration while managing the periodic calibration exercise, reviewing analytical outputs and producing impact assessments
  • Managing the daily review of end-to-end (E2E) controls i.e. Dataflow, DQ, Tech and owning the ongoing improvements, designing and implementation of model controls and MI
  • Reviewing and validating UAT test cases for the business under new releases and liaising with Test teams

What you will bring.

We are looking for people who can help shape, influence and transform the bank’s capabilities, ensuring we continue to disrupt financial crimes, and support and enable the right outcomes for our customers.

  • Proven experience in TM Scenario Calibration, Testing and Model management (including knowledge of the relevant TM data/ATL-BTL analysis)
  • Previous experience in delivering FC transformation projects or risk controls

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • An industry recognised Financial Crime Qualification – e.g. ICA, ACAMS, CISI
  • Understanding/experience of working with financial crime analytics, risk & controls, and Line 2 model management teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to translate business requirements between the TM Capability and Analytics/Tech teams working under pressure to deliver expected results

This is a permanent role and can be based in our offices in London, Milton Keynes, Glasgow, Bradford or Sheffield.
